Murphys Catering Company is a wedding caterer based out of Murphys, CA. Chef Erik Claire is the founder and proprietor of Murphys Catering Company,and his love for food and service is deeply rooted. Raised in a family that owned and managed multiple restaurants, Erik's culinary journey began early in life as he played beneath the tables and later took on responsibilities as a teenager. Having received classical training at Johnson & Wales culinary institute, Chef Erik boasts an extensive culinary background, spanning fine dining, culinary competitions, and years in the restaurant industry. Notably, he earned numerous Gold medals at American Culinary Federation competitions, clinched first place for best ribs at a prestigious Kansas City Barbecue Society (KCBS) event, and secured the people's choice award for best sauce. As a Certified Culinary Instructor, he instilled a strong commitment to excellence in his students, treating every meal as a unique inspired moment in time.
